As a location for a family reunion, Salt Spring Island isn’t the most central. On the other hand, it’s one of the more scenic ones. Ocean. Lakes. Trees. Gardens. Boats. Campsites. Maple leaves. Sunsets.

I'm always happy to get a photo of a frog;
not sure that I'd be 218 times as happy if, well, you know.Music of the Week
Poetry of the Week
Be kind and tender to the Frog,   And do not call him names,As ‘Slimy skin,’ or ‘Polly-wog,’   Or likewise ‘Ugly James,’Or ‘Gape-a-grin,’ or ‘Toad-gone-wrong,’  Â   Or ‘Billy Bandy-knees’:The Frog is justly sensitive   To epithets like these.No animal will more repay   A treatment kind and fair;At least so lonely people sayWho keep a frog (and, by the way,  ÂThey are extremely rare).Posted: 2025 Jan 25

Loved the laundry. Missed the arbutus trees.

Jim – 🙂 I don’t yet have an arbutus photo that I like. Still stalking . . .
Great photos, Isabel.
A couple of the water shots reminded me of this:
A friend gave me a Google Home Mini. Neat and handy little device. I make up stuff to ask it. This morning, I said, “Hey Google, I’m up.” The reply was “Good morning, Sunshine!” So I followed with, “What’s doing today?” (meaning the news which it normally gives me without asking) The reply, “I was just looking at pictures of seascapes. There’s something about them that makes me very happy!”
Tom
Tom – LOL Making friends wherever you go, eh? Your raconteur sounds like my kind of person. There *is* something about seascapes that makes me happy, too, at least in person.
Beautiful pictures!
Kate – Beautiful spot!
Looks like the weather cooperated. Glad you were able to gather there. I was thinking of you all.
Alison – Weather delightful stop no fist fights stop too much food stop!
